Finally Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has confirmed the cabinet expansion. KCR met Governor ESL Narasimhan short while ago and informed him about the details of time and candidates.
As per the Raj Bhavan sources, on 19th February according to Lunar Calendar being Magha Shuddha Pournami, the swearing of new ministers will commence at 11:30 AM.
And as per TRS party sources, there will be 8 members in the first cabinet and among them, most are likely to be newcomers. KCR has discussed a lot with key party leaders about cabinet expansion and based on the candidate’s background, the portfolio will be allotted.
At the same time, the TRS chief wants to keep the seniors aside who can play a crucial role in the Parliament elections.
On the other hand, the Telangana CM also confirmed the budget sessions from February 22nd to 25th. The state government will introduce vote-on-account budget instead of a full-fledged one.
So the two months of anticipating is coming to an end in another couple of days. But there is a tension among TRS MLAs too. Huge surprises and big upsets are on their way.
