YSRCP rebel MP Kanumuru Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju, who was arrested by the AP CID sleuths yesterday moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking directives to get bail in the case.
As a big blow to the MP, the High Court, which heard the quashed his House Motion Petition. The Court asked, why didn’t the petitioner move the District sessions court to get bail.
During the argument, Supreme Court Advocate Adinarayana Rao, who represented RRR told the court that the arrest was made without following a procedure. When the Court asked why the District Court was not moved in this regard, the advocate said given the seriousness of the case, a petition was filed in the court.
The High Court issued directives stating that till the investigation gets completed, the MP should not be produced before the Magistrate. Food, medication, and other facilities should be provided for the Parliamentarian, the Court directed the CID.
Quashing the petition filed by the MP, the High Court suggested the petitioner move the District Court in this regard following the procedure.
In the FIR, the Andhra Pradesh CID sleuths named RRR as A1, and two leading Telugu News channels as A2 and A3. The CID alleged that RRR made derogatory comments against Reddy and Christian Communities.
