Jagan’s Independence Day speech centred in curiosity

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed the state today, on the occasion of Independence Day, after hoisting the national flag. While he touched on several topics in his speech, he left out the three capitals issue, which is not generating a lot of curiosity.

Jagan used to talk about the three capitals – Kurnool, Visakhapatnam and Amaravati – in all of his independence day speeches but has left it out this year. This is causing a lot of debates, with people wondering whether it was intentional or accidental. There’s also speculation if Jagan left out the three capital topic from his speech due to the recent report given by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which said that few cities in India are prone to be submerged by the end of this century, due to the rise of sea levels.

These cities include Vizag, Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi, which are expected to be submerged by 3 feet by the end of this century. As a result, Jagan is said to be reconsidering his three capital idea.
