As per the YSRCP, the people of Andhra Pradesh are still very much in love with YS Jagan’s rule and the YSRCP’s overall performance in the state. If that’s the case, then why is it that these very people are unable to sit through an entire meeting organised by Jagan. Jagan is going around the state a lot in recent times and is organising back to back meetings, where he is making speeches, specifically targeting and speaking against his opposition parties and also highlighting the schemes of the YSRCP.
Despite that, the people of whichever place Jagan has been to so far are not staying long, during these meetings. At most, they are staying until Jagan starts his speech and are making their escape soon after. This has been the case in Tirupati and in Unguturu as well, where the people showed hardly any interest in being a part of these meetings. Even the officials who are in charge of these meetings have been finding it difficult to make the people stay back.
While one of the main reasons may be the extensive time for which they have to stay in these meetings, which can go up for hours, with the CM only coming in towards the end of the meeting to make a speech, another reason is being stated as the fact that Jagan is not able to create any intrigue or interest in what he has to say. With Jagan constantly talking about his opponents, criticising them all the time, the people are said to have lost their interest. Well, it is now to be seen whether Jagan will be able to turn things around or if this is an indication of what’s to come for the YSRCP in the 2024 elections.
