Superstar Mahesh is enjoying the success of his latest venture ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’. According to the producers, the film collected over 200 crores and ended up as a summer blockbuster. He will kickstart shooting for his next film with star director Trivikram Srinivas in June or July.
He is currently spending time in Dubai with his family. May 31st marks the birthday of his father aka the legendary superstar Krishna. On his 79th birthday, Mahesh took to Twitter and wrote, “Happy birthday Nanna! There is truly no one like you. Wishing for your happiness & good health for many more years to come. Stay blessed always. Love you.”
Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy aka superstar Krishna was born on May 31st of 1943 in Burripalem. In an acting career spanning over 5 decades, he did more than 350 films and the government of India honored him with Padma Bhushan in 2009. He was also an MP from Congress Party back in 1989. He was a visionary filmmaker who made the first Eastmancolor film named ‘Eenadu’ in 1982 and the first Cinemascope film ‘Alluri Seetharamaraju’ in 1974. He was the one to come up with the first 70mm film ‘Simhasanam’ in 1986. He introduced the DTS to Telugu cinema with ‘Telugu Veera Levara’ in 1996. He introduced various genres to Telugu cinema like the Cowboy genre and spy films. He owned Padmalaya Film Studio and produced a lot of movies. He also directed 15 films in his career.
