Bollywood Biggie Barely Collects One Fifth of Film Budget!

Bollywood is one of the big industries in the countries and the films get good response overseas. However, the industry is not in a good position now. With the emergence of Pan-India films, Bollywood films are lagging. Big stars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar are giving big flops. After back-to-back flops, Akshay Kumar released his last film on OTT.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra gave a big hope to Bollywood by recording good collections. Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s Vikram Vedha was expected to take forward the positive trend. The pre-bookings of tickets were encouraging.

As per the trade analysts, Vikram Vedha was made on a big budget of around 250 crores and after four days of theatrical release, the big film reportedly made around 50 crores.

As per the trade analysts, Vikram Vedha was made on a big budget of around 250 crores and after four days of theatrical release, the big film reportedly made around 50 crores. It is barely one-fifth of the total budget.

Looking at the reasons behind this, the chances of remakes working are very less. Vikram Vedha is a remake film of a Tamil Cinema and the majority of movie lovers watched the original film during the lockdown period. So the audience will don’t have any interest.

On top of this, the word of mouth was not that great and this resulted in Vikram Vedha being unable to collect a big amount at the box office. The film has one of the big stars in Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan. This could not save the film.
