After Exit Polls, Mayawati Changes Her Plans?

After constant reports of Mayawati holding meetings with opposition parties, the Bahujan Samaj Party announced with a clearcut clarification that supremo Mayawati will not be holding any meetings with the opposition leaders in Delhi today. The news arose earlier that Mayawati will meet UPA chairman Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi today in Delhi. But this latest news has been confirmed by BSP senior leader Satish Chandra Mishra who said that Mayawati has no intentions to organize any meetings in Delhi. He confirmed that she will be in Lucknow.

This is raising a few eyebrows suspecting that Mayawati changed her scheduled plans post the exits poll results. The clear verdict was given to the BJP and Modi’s leadership, and this is probably making opposition leaders change their plans. Mayawati is also waiting for the final results, perhaps.

It is also reported that Mayawati will meet Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi ahead of LS polls announcement on May 23, which was earlier said that she will meet before results. Earlier on Saturday, AP CM Chandrababu, who was already working to form the anti-BJP front, has met Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow. He also later went on to meet Sonia Gandhi and though it is not revealed what exactly transpired between them, it is still understood that they discussed alternatives to NDA government.
