All eyes on ‘United India Rally’

The entire country and media has set its eyes on Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s mega rally scheduled in Kolkata on Saturday. This rally is a counter to PM Narendra Modi led BJP government.

At least 25 top political leaders belonging 20 national and regional political parties are attending this rally. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, DMK chief MK Stalin, former BJP leader Arun Shourie, Loktantrik Janata Dal chief Sharad Yadav and Nationalist Congress Party head Sharad Pawar are appearing in the rally and they have already reached Kolkata.

Brigade Parade Ground will host the rally and Trinamool Congress claims that 40 lakh people are likely to attend and it could well be the biggest political rally ever. Mamata is eyeing the PM post in the next elections and so TMC is putting all efforts to make it a grand success.

Telangana CM KCR, YS Jagan, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik are skipping this event.
