CEO and founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie are getting divorced and it could be the most expensive one in the history which is estimated to be Rs 4.20 Lakh crore.
The couple who have been married for 25 years announced their divorce on Twitter. The couple have four children. In a statement released by jointly by Jeff and MacKenzie said, ”As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends.”
MacKenzie met Jeff when interviewing for a job in New York and they got engaged after three months of dating and married three months after that. MacKenzie is the first employee of Amazon which was founded in 1994.
This divorce dethrones Jeff from the richest man in the world. He net worth is estimated to be over $137 million.
