AP: Panchayath Polls To Spice Up Sankranthi!

Andhra Pradesh will go for Panchayath elections during Sankranthi and regarding the same, State Election Commissioner Ramesh Kumar has sent directives to all the concerned department and officials.

The elections will be held through ballot paper and Commissioner Ramesh Kumar has ordered to keep the ballot paper prepared by December 15th. The commissioner has also decided the colors of ballot paper. For ward member, the paper would be in white color and for Sarpanch, the color is pink.

The reservations in respective Panchayaths will be confirmed by January 10th and from the next day, the election code will come into effective.

Generally in Andhra, from the New Year, the Sankranthi hungama starts and with Panchayath elections this time, the hungama is going to start a bit early in the villages and will be double.

All the major political parties will put their full efforts but we know it will the ruling party which will have the edge. YSRCP is likely to win majority of the Panchayaths considering they have appointed ‘Village Volunteers’ which was a big hit
