Babu Brings Infosys Sudha Murthy On Board

TDP Chief and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has been sternly criticized in the past few years because of the people he appointed for key positions. However, the latest decision taken by Naidu is receiving approval of everyone.

Babu has now appointed Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Narayana Murthy as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). The state government has issued a GO to this effect AP Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987.

Murthy replaced Sekhar Reddy, who was recently arrested on the charges of possession of huge unaccounted cash, in both the newly introduced 2000 notes and demonetized currency during the raids on his properties in Chennai. Reddy’s arrest also left a black spot on Naidu’s selection of candidates for pivotal positions.

In his bid to make amends, Chandrababu has now replaced Sekhar Reddy with Sudha Murthy, who is a renowned humanitarian and a Padma Sri awardee. She is the Trustee of the Infosys Foundation which supports programs related to education, rural development, healthcare, arts and culture etc. She is also a prolific writer in Kannada and English, having 24 books and 156 other works to her credit.

Owing to the spotless resume of Murthy, her selection as TTD Board member has received accolades from every corner.
