In fact, it was Botsa who had proposed Jagan’s name as the leader of YSRCP Legislature Party and Jagan had unanimously elected as YCP Legislature Party Leader.
Botsa is not just a senior leader, but he is calling the shots in YCP second to Jagan. Even in the tickets confirmation before general elections, Botsa had played a crucial role and ensured that his followers and all his family members get MLA tickets. While many feel that Vijay Sai Reddy is Jagan’s right-hand man, Botsa is now emerging as the mouthpiece of Jagan in his government. So, even in cabinet and even in government, Botsa’s word has garnered a lot of significance. With Vijay Sai Reddy confined to Rajya Sabha and serving as YSRCP Parliamentary Party Leader and Jagan’s uncle YV Subba Reddy has been made TTD Chairman, Botsa has no stopping in the government and administration. Also the fact that he is holding the key portfolio of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, it has come in handy for Botsa and Jagan.
