Buzz: Varun Tej Picks A Don’s Seat

Naturally, if a happening hero like Varun Tej is going to pick up a movie, he will be a leading man in it. But what prompts him to pick a negative role? Throwing a surprise, this mega hero has decided to play something which other heroes would think twice about.

When the news came out that the mega handsome hunk is going to star in the Telugu remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda, many thought that he will take up hero Siddharth’s role. But that is not the case. The film has upcoming actor Bobby Simha playing the role the villain, who later turns good guy, and our mega hero is after that role.

Apparently, after watching the film, Varun Tej is said to have felt that playing that don role will give him more edge as an actor and asked director Harish Shankar to pick some other young hero to play Siddharth’s role. The director is said to be looking at options like Raj Tarun and Naga Shourya for the same.

Anyway, it takes guts to take up a negative shaded role, so we have to see how this remake will do for the hero. His next film Antariksham is set for a release next week, while he has F2 lined up for Sankranthi meanwhile.
