Chandrababu Naidu Is A Settlement Chief Minister?

The controversy over the Telugu Desam Party leaders’ highhanded behaviour with Andhra Pradesh transport commissioner Balasubrahmanyam over the illegal transport business in the state appears to be going unabated.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu himself intervened in the issue and pulled up the party leaders, including Kesineni Nani, Bonda Umamaheshwara Rao and others for trying to manhandle the officer.

He made them apologise to the commissioner for their unruly behaviour and ensure that the issue got subsided.

However, YSR Congress party leaders found it an excellent opportunity to attack Naidu. They recalled how the TDP leaders made a big issue when YSR Congress party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy questioned the doctors and Krishna district collector for trying to manipulate the post-mortem reports in the Nandigama bus mishap issue in which TDP MP J C Diwakar Reddy and his brother J C Prabhakar Reddy were involved. The officials even filed a case against Jagan.

YSRC MLAs R K Roja, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and others staged a dharna in the Velagapudi Secretariat demanding action against the TDP leaders who manhandled the transport authorities.

“It is unfortunate that the chief minister himself tried to settle the issue by preventing the transport authorities from filing the case, instead of taking action against the TDP leaders who misbehaved with the officials.

Naidu is doing settlements to hush up the case. In the past, too, he did similar settlements in the case of MRO Vanajakshi and Guntur municipal chairperson Jaani Moon,” Roja alleged.

The YSRC leaders were taken into custody and released later.
