Director Says He Wrote 42 Versions; Really?

Sometimes, the loud talk of celebrities at pre-release events turn a curse for their respective films at the box office. Many could still remember how Brahmi said “Orange, O Range Vunna Cinema”, and Dil Raju said “Ramayya Vastavayya, Jr NTR career lo best film avtundi” at the audio functions of those movies.

Currently, one such discussion is happening around ‘Dorasani’ movie director, newcomer KVR Mahendra too. Though the film’s Telangana touch and slow narrative are surely impressive, the way he stated about the script hasn’t reflected on the screen. He told media earlier: “I’ve worked for almost 3 years on this script and narrated 35th version to Suresh Babu garu. And we went to shoot with 42nd version”.

Well, one look at the film Dorasani has the answer to his statements. The film looks like a xerox copy of Marathi film ‘Sairat’ in terms of story and scenes in Rangasthalam flavour. Why didn’t the director get any doubt that he’s making a Sairat only after writing 42 versions?
