The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and Union Ministry of Home Affairs have sought a report into the encounter of Disha rapists. In a statement, the NHRC said that it would send its team of higher level officials to the encounter spot for detailed investigation.
Also the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has enquired about this incident and contacted the Telangana government for a preliminary report. The government is waiting for the police to file an initial statement in this whole episode.
There are reports that the police have killed the accused and made it as encounter. In the wake of these reports, NHRC and MHA pursued for a report.
Hyderabad CP VC Sajjanar who spoke to the media a few moments ago said, the police will definitely answer to the state government, NHRC and MHA.
