After bombarding the telecom market last year with unlimited free calls & data, Jio is back to kill the smartphone segment too. The Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance group announced a digital freedom to all the Jio users, with unlimited mobile data (4G) starting August 15th.
The Chairman himself took the stage to share the upcoming plans of Jio, where he kicked off saying, ‘I am putting an end to unaffordable data forever.’
Apart from launching the JioPhone, a 4G-enabled device, the company declared Rs 153/month plan, unlimited 4G data & free national/local calls. What’s more? – The Jio handset will be made available for free but the purchasers will have to deposit INR 1500 at the time availing this phone. That money will be refunded to the user after three years.
The primary specifications of this Jio smartphone include distress call system, Jio Music, Jio Cinema, Jio TV, powerful speaker and it also supports 22 major languages.
