Guru vs Sishya: RGV, Teja Fight over NTR’s Biopic

It could turn up the heat in Tollywood for sure. Two films on late N T Rama Rao are going to be made by two different film-makers. One film-maker is controversial director Ram Gopal Varma and the other is his sishya Teja.

RGV is already in the news regarding his version of NTR’s biopic, while Teja announced on Wednesday that he is going to direct NTR’s biopic.

Teja’s film will be produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna and this one is going to be the “official biopic” endorsed by all Nandamuri family members.

RGV’s film, on the other hand, is being produced by YSR Congress leader and it narrates the story of NTR from Lakshmi Parvathi’s point of view.

There is more than enough reason to look at both films skeptically, but now the guru and sishya are making headlines as they are pitted against each other, thanks to the biopics.

RGV recently declared that Teja is the most talented one among all his assistants. RGV had praised him after watching Teja’s film “Nene Raju Nene Mantri”.

Teja was the assistant cameraman for Ram Gopal Varma’s sensational debut film “Shiva” and continued working with him on many movies. Teja debuted as director with “Chitram” in 2010.

Although Teja and RGV share a good bond personally, they are now competing with each other. RGV will be releasing his version of NTR’s biopic much before Teja does.

The fight between this gury-sishya will be keenly observed now.
