Reportedly, Banjara Hills Police on Thursday summoned the yesteryear buxom beauty Rambha to appear before the local court in a dowry harassment case.
The actress, who’s currently living in Canada, was in Hyderabad to shoot for an upcoming Telugu film. Knowing about it, Police officials served summons to her at Padmalaya Studios.
In July 2014, Rambha’s sister-in-law Pallavi registered a dowry harassment case against Rambha, her parents and brother under section 498-A of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 3 & 5 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. It may further suspend her passport to restrict her from leaving the country.
As the actress was in Canada since then, police officials couldn’t approach her to serve the notice. Rambha, who’s now part of a reality dance show on television, was lastly seen in a 2008 Telugu film ‘Donga Sachinollu’. In regard with this, the actress didn’t offer any comment.
