High Court Verdict: Setback To Charmme!

The High Court has just a while ago announced its verdict on the petition filed by actress Charmme challenging the legality of the means of SIT’s investigation in the drugs case. And, it came as a huge setback to the actress.

Charmme’s primary request was to permit the presence of her lawyer during the SIT interrogation. The High Court however ruled out this request and directed the actress to face the interrogation all alone.

The High Court however gave her a reprieve by instructing the SIT to conduct her questioning between 10 in the morning to 5 PM only. In her petition, she had raised concern over the SIT interrogation going until late night. ‘If the sleuths need more time, they can continue the interrogation on the following day,’ said the High Court.

Charmme’s lawyer spoke to media and revealed that the High Court has directed the SIT to make sure to have women in the team that questions his client. The advocate also divulged that the SIT has been ordered by the Court not to take Charmee’s blood samples without her consent.

Since SIT is already following the the ‘compulsory participating of woman official in team’ and ‘not taking blood samples forcibly’, as divulged by Akun Sabharwal, Charmme didn’t gain much by going through the hassle of filing a petition in the High Court.
