In a public-interest case, an audience has filed a police complaint against a Hyderabad multiplex over the delay in the show. Based on the complaint, the Hyderabad police have received a go-ahead from the court after which the city police booked case against the multiplex.
Going into details, one movie-goer had booked ticket for Chanakya movie for October 8th evening show at Cinepolis multiplex in Manjeera Mall of KPHB. As per the ticket, the show is supposed to start at 4.40 pm, however, the show has been allegedly delayed by the cinemas due to telecast of advertisements.
The audiene has expressed his displeasure over the delay of the show as well as over the telecast of numerous advertisements before the movie. The movie-goer has complained about the matter with police alleging that the cinema chain has wasted his valuable time and alleged them of flouting rules. After the court’s consent, the case has been booked by police against the multiplex chain, confirmed KPHB Circle Inspector.
Although there were cases filed against various multiplexes, the cases were either related to parking fares or the hikes rates of eatables and water bottles sold at cinemas. But this a unique and first of its kind case in Hyderabad where a multiplex chain is booked for the delay of its screening.
