I committed a mistake by developing Hyd: Naidu

TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has given a statement in Legislative Assembly on Monday that he had committed a mistake by developing Hyderabad when he was CM of Undivided AP between 1995 and 2004.

Naidu already earned the image of being an ‘anti-Telangana’ and now with these kind of meaningless statements he will only invite further wrath of Telangana society.

Naidu said when he planned to build Hitech city in Hyderabad, everyone opposed but the same Hitech city is generating revenue for Telangana State on which it is thriving.

Naidu said now he feels like he had committed a blunder by developing Hyderabad.

Now, the question arises is what’s wrong in developing Hyderabad.

Hyderabad may be capital city of Telangana but it is not home only to Telangana people. In fact, population of Seemandhra people in Hyderabad is on par with Telangana natives, who settled here for education, employment and livelihood.

Seemandhra people own huge assets and businesses in Hyderabad. Their net worth increased due to development of Hyderabad.

Even Naidu and his family members own huge assets, farmhouses in Hyderabad, who too are deriving benefit out of development of Hyderabad.

Naidu and his family lives in Hyderabad, runs Heritage company in Hyderabad and earns huge money but Naidu feels that he had committed a blunder by developing Hyderabad.

Such ‘anti-Telangana’ stand by Naidu already resulted in TDP vanishing from Telangana.

If he exhibits same kind of narrow mindedness, he will lose his base even in Seemandhra for ever as Seemandhra people too don’t hate Hyderabad just because it is in Telangana.
