Isn’t One Flop Enough Nani?

Natural Star Nani, who is on a dream run, may once again team up with a director who had earlier directed him in a huge flop.

Reports are emerging that noted Tamil director Samuthirakani, who had directed Nani in ‘Jenda Pai Kapiraju’, is planning to direct the youngster once again in his new film. While his frequent collaborator Sasikumar is on board to play the lead role in Tamil, Samuthirakani is hell bent on roping in Nani for the Telugu version.

‘Jenda Pai Kapiraju’, released in 2014 after having been lying in cans for a long time, failed to connect with audience. Samuthirakani has made some noteworthy Tamil films but his Telugu directorials were somehow rejected by audience. Will Nani forget the result of JPK and give him another chance at a time when he is on a hit spree?

Well, Nani is one actor who signs films based on the merits of script rather than relying on the director’s track record. For instance, his current film ‘MCA’ is being directed by Venu Sriram, whose only directorial till date, ‘Oh My Friend’ was a failure.

If Nani decides to give the Tamil director another chance, we have to see when this film would go on floors as successful directors like Merlapaka Gandhi and Hanu Raghavapudi are already waiting for him with scripts.

Meanwhile, Nani is awaiting the release of ‘Ninnu Kori’, which is slated to hit screens on July 7.
