It’s A Big Slap On Movie Mafia’s Face: Kangana

Four Indian films have been selected for Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival 2019 in World Fantastic Blue Section and they are Super Deluxe, starring Vijay Sethupati and Samantha, Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, Andhadun, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, starring Kangana Ranaut.

On this, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel tweeted saying “Manikarnika will live on”. Also, the actress herself reacted on the film being selected at the prestigious film festival. By expressing her joy over it, Kangana said, “We are thrilled with this development, especially when Gully Boy was hailed by the entire industry and there was not a single word by anyone on Manikarnika. The movie mafia tried to kill this film but for Manikarnika to get commercial success and now international recognition along with other celebrated films is a big slap on movie mafia’s face.”

She also went on to say that one cannot stop a good film especially in this time and age when the world is all one big family because of social media, referring Manikarnika. Earlier, the actress fired on a few celebrities for showing apathy toward her film and not attending its screening. Manikarnika turned out to the third highest grossing female-centric project and the film received rave reviews. Currently, the actress is enjoying her time at Himachal Pradesh with family members.
