The big news that is being spread everywhere is that star heroine Anushka Shetty has refused to play the role of Venkatesh’s wife in the upcoming Telugu remake of Tamil film Asuran. Many wonders if Anushka’s rejection is a major thing as publicised by people associated with the news.
Who would like to play the role of a mother of 20 years old when she herself is just 38 years old? While there are many couples who get married young and has 20-year-old kids at 38-40 years in real life, things are different in the showbiz business for sure. For the very same reason, Anushka, who is still continuing her career, seeking lead roles, is not interested in Asuran remake. So what’s the big deal about it?
Frankly speaking, the original film has only one scene where the character of Danush’s wife shows her fighting skills and in another scene where she gets pretty emotional. The role played by Manju Warrier has impressed many but for that Venky could go to other senior actresses rather Anushka. Because Anushka is known more for her glamour and this role might not work for her.
On the other hand, rumours are rife that Shriya Saran is already roped in to play this role of Venky’s wife in the Telugu version being helmed by Seethamma Vaakitlo fame Srikanth Addala.
