YCP in-charge for Gannavaram Assembly constituency Yarlagadda Venkat Rao has been promised with MLC. Yarlagadda. Yarlagadda along with ministers Kodali Nani and Perni Nani has met CM Jagan on Monday. Jagan has offered MLC to Yarlagadda and said he would take care of his political future.
Jagan said Yarlagadda has supported the party in tough times and hence he promised to take care of him. CM Jagan ordered Yarlagadda to lend complete support to Vallabhaneni Vamsi who submitted his resignation to TDP. Jagan told Yarlagadda to strengthen party in the constituency and not to have any groups within the party. He asked them to work as one for party’s benefit.
With CM Jagan’s assurance on MLC and his political future, Yarlagadda Venkat Rao and his followers are happy. Yarlagadda has returned with ministers Kodali Nani and Perni Nani in the same car. With this, the line is clear for Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s entry into YCP.
It can be noted that YCP MLA candidate Yarlagadda Venkat Rao had lost in the hands of Vallabhaneni Vamsi with meager margin of 838 votes in 2019 general election. In the polls, 1,03,881 votes (47.07 percent) were polled for TDP’s Vallabhaneni Vamsi whereas 1,03,043 votes (46.69 percent) were polled for YCP’s Yarlagadda.
