Jana Sena Chief Turns Spiritual Again!

With his political activity coming to a halt and film shooting schedule hitting a road block due to Coronavirus pandemic, power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has once again turned spiritual.

On Thursday, the Jana Sena chief announced that he would take up “Chaturmasya Deeksha” (penance for four months) seeking divine blessings for the welfare, health and prosperity of the people.

Normally, seers of various Hindu religious mutts take up this Chaturmasya Deeksha for a period of four months, starting from Tholi Ekadasi (which happened on July 1 this year).

They completely keep themselves away from common public and go to some selective places like Himalayas or Rishikesh, where they perform Yagams and other spiritual activities.

Now, Pawan Kalyan also has started following this deeksha from July 1 and it will continue for the next four months till the completion of Ashwayuja Masam that falls in November, his political secretary K Hari Prasad said in a statement.

Interestingly, Hari Prasad said Pawan Kalyan has been practising this Chaturmasya Deeksha for the last two decades, but not many people remember him doing that.

“He will end up the deeksha with a big homam,” he said.

During his deeksha period, Pawan Kalyan will keep himself away from non-vegetarian food and will take only soft food in limited quantities.

“He will eat only meal a day. After sunset, he will take a little milk and fruits. Later in the night, he will end the deeksha for the day with vegetarian meal,” Hari Prasad said.

The Jana Sena leader said Pawan has taken up the deeksha to seek divine blessings to help the country overcome the bad effects of Coronavirus.

“People are facing tremendous stress psychologically and financially due to Covid-19 effect. The pandemic has spoiled the livelihood of several petty traders and merchants and those who are surviving on their traditional professions,” he said, adding that Pawan’s objective is to see that normalcy is restored in the country.
