Kamal Haasan has now been issued a notice in related to the prominent Malayalam actress’ ‘abduction and molestation’ case. Noted Malayalam hero Dileep has already been arrested for his alleged involvement in this case.
Kamal was served notice on Friday by the National Council for Women (NCW) for revealing the actress’ name in a recent media interaction.
Reportedly, Kamal took the name of the heroine, who was the victim of ‘sexual assault’ and said that media should not hide her name especially after she had come out in open and filed a case against her wrongdoers. He extended his full support to her and demanded severe punishment to her assaulters.
The NCW however wasn’t pleased with Kamal’s point and issued a notice to him reasoning that revealing the name of a victim of “sexual assault” is prohibited by the Indian law.
In response, Kamal said, “You are penalizing the lawyer and missing criminals”.
