KCR, Owaisi To Take On TDP On AP Turf!

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s attempt to poke his nose in the Telangana politics by joining hands with the Congress party has boomeranged on it.

The TDP ended up with just two assembly seats and both the newly-elected MLAs are likely to defect to the TRS. If it happens, the TDP will be completely wiped out in Telangana.

Now, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his friend MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi are also eager to poke their noses into Andhra politics.

“When Naidu can give me a gift by contesting the Telangana elections, should not I give a return gift? We shall definitely finger the Andhra politics and campaign against the TDP in the next elections,” KCR said.

Owaisi also declared that his party would support the YSR Congress party in the coming elections in AP. He challenged that Naidu would not be able to win even two MP seats in the next Parliament elections.

“Jagan is my friend and I will support him in AP,” he said.

But it is too premature to assess how the people of Andhra will take the interference of KCR and Owaisi in their state politics.

Jagan also should be careful before he receives the support of the TRS in the elections, since there is every possibility that his party might meet the same fate in AP as that of the Congress in Telangana.

The people of Andhra have not yet recovered from the wounds of bifurcation and they are angry with the TRS for forcing the Centre to divide the state.

May be some sections are trying to promote KCR in AP, but Jagan should read the pulse of the common people. He should assess the pros and cons of TRS campaigning for the YSRC.

“If it is to the extent of funding the candidates and extending other kind of support like social media campaigning, it would be fine. But if KCR addresses public meetings for YSRC, it may backfire on Jagan,” an analyst observed.
