Kodandaram Silently Spreading Network?

Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram, who floated Telangana Jana Samithi a couple of days ago, is not doing the same mistake of other newly formed political parties.Of late, most of the political parties are formed without making any ground work and establishing a party network. Since their objective is not to come to power, but to grab a few seats in bargain with other political parties, they do not sustain for long.

As a matter of fact, even the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi does not have the village-level network completely. It managed to come to power on an emotional note after the formation of separate Telangana state in 2014. The party is now being operated only from Telangana Bhavan or Pragathi Bhavan and does not have grass root level network. However, Kodandaram is said to be very careful in planning his political organisation.

The TJAC has a strong network of students, youth, employees and workers. Though many of these sections have drifted towards the TRS, the TJAC has not lost its identity and whoever has remained in the organisation have regained their strength and established contacts with the people. Now, this TJAC network has come in handy for Kodandaram who silently strengthened it and formed the base for TJS. In the coming days, if the TJS takes up membership drive, it would get further expanded.

“One can say after the Congress, the TDP and the BJP, it is the TJS which has full-fledged cadre base across the state,” a TJAC source said.
