An age old belief in Tollywood is that ‘combinations’ do work bigger time at box office. That maybe true in 90s but now whole scenario got changed and only content matters. Even some sure shot combinations have delivered only flops in their second liaison.
Currently director Krishna Vamsi is coming up with “Nakshatram” and the film is on the floors from a longer time. Recently this talented director revealed that the film has his good and first Hyderabad friend JD Chakravarthy as well, playing the role of RDX.
That’s a super reunion for the “Gulabi” hero-director but will that combination sure create any ripples now? We can’t say for, but depending on combination alone will not give desired result.
Already KV Sir has reunited with Prakash Raj in Govindudu Andaravadele but there is no ‘juice’ in film’s content that could really satisfy the cravings of new generation audiences.
Now in Nakshatram, many stars including heroes Sandeep Kishan and Saidharam Tej, heroines Regina and Pragya Jaiswal, Prakash Raj, and now JD Chakravarathy, are making the film too crowded. Hope it will have juice rather than just these combinations.
