In the past, Mahesh Babu had given his nod to any director who has good track record of success even when they didn’t have full script in their hands.
He okayed Srikanth Addala’s “Brahmotsavam” without listening the second half is what industry observers say.
Mahesh Babu was also not sure about the climax portions of “Spyder” but he blindly believed Murugadoss’s conviction then he is a big name. Both the films bombed miserably. Both were baap of disasters in his career.
These two films changed his attitude towards scripts and since then he is very particular about going to the sets only the total script is ready.
Industry people say this is the main reason why Sukumar is not succeeding in getting final nod from Mahesh Babu even though he has already told the superstar one story line and has narrated him how he would be filming some important sequences.
Mahesh Babu recently met Sukumar and has heard the narration again. Still, he wants full narration with climax part, on which Sukumar is still working.
However, the ‘Rangasthalam’ director is confident of cracking the climax portions in couple of weeks.
Sukumar generally goes to the sets with rough ideas and improvises the script while shooting. He goes with gut feeling rather than the bounded script.
Mahesh Babu is dead against ‘ideas in the mind’ and is asking directors to put them on paper.
