Modi To Meet US President Trump

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to meet the United States President Donlad Trump. According to reports, Modi will be meeting Trump on June 25-26. This is going to be the first meeting of the twain.

Narendra Modi will travel to Washington DC on the invitation of US President Donald Trump. It may be recalled that both Modi and Trump share good bond.

Modi had first spoke to Trump over phone on November 9 soon after he’s been elected as the US President. Modi was among a few international leaders who spoke to Trump within hours of his victory. In the second instance, Trump had called up Modi four days after he sworn-in as US President and White House stated that Trump had emphasised that ‘US considers India a true friend and partner in addressing challenges around the world’.

Even during the US Presidential elections, Trump had adopted Modi-style campaign. Trump had not just reached to Hindu Americans but even gave a slogan ‘Ab ki baar Trump Sarkar’. All these have set ground for Modi and Trump’s one-on-one meeting.

With two of the world’s tallest leaders set to meet, all the eyes are on the meet. Especially, this meet is crucial for India since relation between India and Pakistan is in very bad state. Even the issue of Kulbushan Jadhav’s case is in pending. So, Modi and Trump’s meet gains significance.
