Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja’s commercial entertainer ‘Waltair Veerayya’ is still going strong in theatres. The movie was released 17 days ago and the collections are still steady. The movie was made on a budget of 88 crores and it collected a share of 127 crores in 17 days. The gross collections are 217.7 crores which is quite huge. The movie has already made a huge profit of 45.29 crores.
The ‘Baahubali’ franchise which put the Telugu cinema on the international map is still the most profitable venture. These two humongous films made by Rajamouli are visual spectacles and they earned massive amounts of money. The second part was made with 352 crores of budget and the profits were around 508 crores. The first part brought a profit of 186 crores.
Ram Charan and NTR’s visual wonder ‘RRR’ which was directed by Rajamouli once again earned more than 1000 crores and created many records. It brought enormous profits to the producers and distributors. Allu Arjun and Trivikram’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ which released in 2020 was a big blockbuster. The movie was made with 84 crores and the profits were around 75.88 crores. The movie had Pooja Hegde playing the female lead and the songs were a huge sensation. Late Puneeth Rajkumar’s film ‘Gandharwa Gudi’ made on 15 crores and earned a profit of 55.43 crores.
‘F2’ starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej is a big success. It was made with 34 crores and this comedy film bagged a profit of around 50 crores. ‘Rangasthalam’ which was considered a turning point in Ram Charan’s career made on 80 crore budget and the profits were 47.52 crores. Nikhil’s first pan-Indian hit ‘Karthikeya 2’ was a surprise hit. Anupama Parameswaran is the heroine in this film which was made on 12.8 crores and it got a huge profit of 45.6 crores.
