TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu finally seemed to have reconciled to the fact that there is no place in Telangana either for TDP or for himself and that Telangana people cannot tolerate or bear Chandrababu anymore.
During his recent meeting with AICC president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi to discuss on possible alliance of Congress and TDP for Lok Sabha polls in April, Chandrababu is learnt to have told Rahul that he is no more interested to campaign in Telangana for Lok Sabha polls after Mahakutami lost recent Assembly elections in Telangana in a humiliating manner.
Chandrababu not even showed interest to field TDP candidates in Telangana for Lok Sabha polls.
He is learnt to have told Rahul that at the most TDP can contest Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat as part of alliance, which it had won in 2014 but the winner C Malla Reddy later defected to TRS.
He told Rahul that it would be better if Congress contests all the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana barring Malkajgiri seat.
Even for Malkajgiri seat, there are no aspirants from TDP and as usual the party is looking for a strong Reddy or Kamma candidate with solid financial background to take on TRS.
