Naidu Spends 1 cr to Book 2 Trains To Delhi

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is getting ready to hold his next “Dharma Porata Deeksha” on February 11th in New Delhi to protest against the Central Government’s apathy towards Andhra Pradesh and for not fulfilling the assurances made in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 apart from the state’s demand for Special Status.

For this, the state government has issued a Government Order to hire two trains which is costing the government over Rs. 1 crore. The trains will start from Anantapur and Srikakulam with protestors and invite any organisation or political party which will fight for the assurances given by the Centre to the state.

“The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to hire two special trains with 20 compartments each from South Central Railways, Secunderabad, i.e., starting one (1) Train from Ananthapuramu and another from Srikakulam to reach New Delhi by February 10, 2019 to transport interested Political parties, organizations, NGOs associations, etc.. to participate in One day Deeksha (Protest) at New Delhi on February 11, 2019 to be led by The Chief Minister,” said the GO.

The statement said that the trains that will help to facilitate the protest stating, “Government after careful examination hereby accord administrative sanction for an amount of Rs 1,12,16,465.” Stating that this protest has no meaning, Opposition Party YSR Congress leaders have called it a sham and that TDP is wasting its money on such Deekshas. YSRCP leaders are calling this Deeksha a ‘publicity stunt’ ahead of the upcoming Assembly and General elections.
