Naidu’s ‘casteism’ backfires during Assembly polls!

Naidu’s policy of openly promoting officials of Kamma caste in AP and appointing them in important and key positions with an aim to win elections with their help seem to be backfiring.

Officials from non-Kamma castes in crucial revenue, police, panchayat raj departments, which play key role in election process are raising a banner of revolt against Naidu’s casteism.

In Naidu’s Chief Minister’s Office out of total four senior secretary-level officials, two are Kammas.

Naidu also appointed Kamma officials as the chief of Intelligence Department, which plays key role in giving reports to CM on confidential matters.

Even the additional director of Intelligence was also appointed from kamma caste.

The newly-constituted law and order coordination DIG post was also allotted to a Kamma officer.

Even a constitutional body like APPSC is also headed by a Kamma official.

Non-Kamma officials are very angry at Naidu for discriminating them and confining them to insignificant posts.

They are holding meetings and devising a plan of action to revolt against Naidu before polls.
