Nandyal: All Is Not Well In TDP

If rumors mills are to be believed, TDP MP S.P.Y. Reddy said that the TDP High Command will give him the ticket for Nandyal Lok Sabha seat at a recent interaction with reporters. Reiterating his conference in TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said he will win the Nandyal Lok Sabha seat.

During his interaction, he also mentioned that his son-in-law Sridhar Reddy will also get the Assembly ticket for Nandyal constituency. These comments from S.P.Y Reddy have not gone down well with other Kurnool district leaders in the Telugu Desam Party. Apparently, the Bhuma family is upset as the seat belongs to Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, a cousin of tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya.

According to inside sources, TDP chief is unhappy with Akhila Priya and hence, is planning to give the seat to Nandyal sitting MLA Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy while the minority leader N.M.D Farooq is being considered as the TDP candidate for the Nandyal Assembly seat. With S.P.Y Reddy’s statements about his son-in-law also being in fray for the seat, Nandyal politics are definitely going to create a flutter within TDP and the state.
