Netflix Donates 1 Million USD To Bollywood Corona Fund

Like how Tollywood has set up a Corona Crisis Charity for the sake of helping the daily wage workers of Telugu cinema, even Bollywood has come up with a similar trust. The ‘Producers Guild Of India’ that represents Bollywood’s production house has not only set up a charity but receiving donations from noted biggies.

Quite surprisingly, one of the world’s top streaming giant, Netflix, has already announced that they have set up a 100 million dollars COVID-19 fund to donate it to the film groups across the world which are actually producing content for them. As part of that initiative, now Netflix has contributed $ 1 Million to the corona relief fund set up by Producers Guild of India (Bollywood).

With India going for a lockdown, Netflix is one of the top preferred OTTs of Indians who are in the social isolation at their homes. Recently the OTT platform has released interesting films like Guilty and also Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo which are still trending in India Top 10 Movies. At the same time, Netflix other language (foreign countries) webseries are a super hit among Indian audiences.

That’s definitely an appreciable move by Netflix to help the daily wage workers of Hindi cinema.
