New Films Disappoint with Poor Performance

Over the past weekend, three movies, namely ‘Nenu Student Sir,’ ‘Pareshan,’ and ‘Ahimsa,’ made their way into theaters, but unfortunately, none of them featured prominent actors. These films failed to create a significant impact and received a lukewarm response from audiences.

‘Pareshan,’ a rural Telangana comedy presented by Rana Daggubati, performed relatively better in Hyderabad compared to the other movies. However, it fell short of achieving the desired level of success.

On the other hand, ‘Nenu Student Sir,’ starring Bellamkonda Ganesh, had a slightly more engaging storyline but failed to captivate viewers, resulting in a box office disaster.

Teja’s ‘Ahimsa,’ which marked the debut of Rana’s brother Abhiram as the lead actor, faced negative reviews from critics. The film struggled to attract audiences, leading to abysmal collections across all regions.

Meanwhile, the previously released film ‘Mem Famous’ exhibited a stronger performance at the box office in the United States. Despite the summer holidays, Telugu films are currently finding it challenging to draw audiences, resulting in a dry spell at the box office.
