No Change In KCR Style Of Governance!

Those who were expecting changes in the style of functioning of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at least in his second stint must be surely disappointed.

He continued to act in the same manner which he used to do in the past. Normally, soon after the chief minister takes oath, he is expected to form his council of ministers, at least with five or six members, to run the government.

He is expected to call for a cabinet meeting to take stock of the state finances and discuss the issues that need to be addressed immediately.

The chief minister is also supposed to take steps for summoning of the state assembly to facilitate the members to take oath and then take up discussion on important issues confronting the state.

However, KCR has not done anything. He is behaving as if his old government is continuing and the elections were not held at all.

He has appointed just one cabinet minister without even giving them the old designation of deputy chief minister. There are no cabinet meetings till now.

And KCR himself is holding meetings of various departments and giving instructions, without even bothering to consult any of his party leaders.

According to sources, KCR is of the view that there is no need for any cabinet at least for the time being, when he can run the show on his own.

If at all he forms his cabinet, he might induct six to eight ministers and allot them not-so-important portfolios, while keeping all the remaining departments with him.

When the officials brought to his notice about the need for calling for assembly session, KCR is learnt to have commented that there was no hurry and it can be convened before the closure of the six month deadline.

And as usual, KCR feels there is no need for going to Secretariat at all. All his review meetings are being held in Pragati Bhavan. That is how the government runs in KCR regime!
