Pawan has no candidate to fight Lokesh!

Power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, who has been claiming to have championed the cause of farmers who have lost their lands in land pooling in Amaravati capital region, has surprisingly no guts to fight the assembly elections in Mangalagiri constituency under which the new capital comes.

Pawan has decided against fielding any candidate in Mangalagiri, from where Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has fielded his son Nara Lokesh.

The contest is interestingly poised as YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has given the party ticket to sitting MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. So, if the Jana Sena Party entered the battle, it would have been a triangular fight.

In the last one year, Pawan Kalyan went to Amaravati area quite a few times and took up the cause of farmers. He promised to stand by them. But now, he has ditched them by not fielding his party candidate.

Naturally, the YSRC leaders are alleging that Pawan has an understanding with Lokesh; and so, his party has opted out of the contest.

Instead of fielding his party candidate, Jana Sena chief has allotted Mangalagiri seat to Communist Party of India (CPI).

It is learnt the CPI is planning to field a candidate from weavers’ community so that he can split the community votes and that would ultimately help the TDP!
