Director Gautham Vasudev Menon is so impressed with the Telugu sleeper hit “Pelli Choopulu” that he immediately bought the remake rights for the Tamil language. And he has also invited the movie’s writer and director Tarun Bhaskar to contribute inputs for the Tamil version too.
His love for the movie has not ended here. He has even roped in , the heroine of “Pelli Choopulu”for his next big movie “Dhruva Nachchitram”with Vikram, touted to be a spy-thriller.
Buzz in Kollywood circles is that Anu Emmanuel (the girl who acted opposite Nani in “Majnu”) has opted out from the movie to accommodate dates for Pawan Kalyan – Trivikram’s film scheduled to start in April. So, Gautham Menon immediately approached Ritu Varma for this role.
This Telugu heroine impressed the youth in “Pelli Choopulu” and she got couple of offers immediately but was later sacked from them as she was reportedly demanding a huge remuneration. But this Vikram – Gautham Menon’s film is a big break for her.
