Back in the times of freedom struggle, as there are no social media and digital platforms to share things, ‘street plays’ and ‘oral storytelling’ are the major weapons in hand. But in 2019 also, YSR Congress want to employ the same.
Apparently, writer-director Posani Krishna Murali wants to give that utmost support to YSR Congress in the coming elections. Along with actors like Prithvi and Krishnudu, now Posani is coming up with satirical skits aimed at taking potshots on Telugu Desam Government. And these dramas will be performed by these actors at various towns and mandal heads.
How far these street-dramas could work in the age of Whatsapp and Facebook is the first thing that comes to anyone’s mind. Maybe they should record these dramas as short films and spread it on Whatsapp groups and Facebook pages, isn’t it?
Critics, however, felt that if Posani comes up with such dramas for YSR Congress, even TDP and Janasena will also come up with counters to them. Because they also do have that filmy background and efficient people to do the job.
