Priyanka Gandhi makes her first tweet ever

After a one long month of leaving her supporters in waiting mode, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has finally tweeted for the first time on her new Twitter account. With 238K followers even before her tweet, Priyanka has tweeted on Tuesday evening that “In the simple dignity of Sabarmati, the truth lives on”. The tweet has been retweeted for about 3000 times and nearly 10,000 likes have been garnered.

Not taking a very long time, her next tweet has been updated. This time, she tweeted a quote “I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent”. The tweet has been pinned with a picture of Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram. The second tweet has received 1000 comments and nearly 8000 likes in a less span of time.

Though her followers on Twitter are in huge numbers, Priyanka right now is following Rahul Gandhi and a few other Congress leaders.

After joining the Congress party officially in January, Priyanka made her first rally ever yesterday in Gujarat. She mainly focused on topics like job opportunities for the youth, safety measures of women, Famers’issuess and how Modi couldn’t live on his words. Her speech was clever as she did not take Modi’s name directly even though she targetted him in the intearaction.
