Rafale at the border in Ladakh – Fixing the ranges!

French made Rafale fighter jets, which recently entered the Indian Air Force are now involved in familiarization of the terrain in the Indo-China border. IAF pilots flew Rafale from Ambala to Ladakh to understand the dynamics.

Rafale has a range of 780 – 1650kms and this depends on various factors including the atmosphere, terrain and mission. This familiarization sorties are a part of understanding the role of Rafale in the Ladakh region. IAF is planing to form a squadron with Rafales in the Indo-China border. These jets can out perform the Chinese fighter jets and Indian Government made it for sure that the Rafale jets comes with a top end package of missiles.

As the winter is coming, China is making moves to use the harsh environmental conditions to attack India at the border. India is taking all precautions before hand and is getting ready to counter attack. The current India is much different than the 1962 India and the Chinese officials understood the scenario.
