Rahul Gandhi Gets Full Majority in this State!

Like how the stars in various film industries face criticism from people on nepotism, Gandhi scion Rahul Gandhi is facing the same in the political spectrum. The saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), often attacks Rahul Gandhi on the same issue, highlighting the dynasty politics in the grand old Congress party.

Whenever there are any polls, people vote for BJP despite not being happy with the party as they have doubts about whether Rahul Gandhi can fit into the more giant shoes of the Prime Minister. The same is working well for the BJP since the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Given the old age of Sonia Gandhi, the Congress party and the party President is giving their best shot to projecting Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister’s candidate for Congress. Despite internal and external criticism on the issue, the Congress party is not leaving any stone unturned on this matter.

As a shot in the arm for the efforts, a survey conducted by the news agency Indo-Asian News Service said that people in Tamil Nadu believe Rahul Gandhi is an ideal candidate for the Prime Minister post and he got more voting compared to serving Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Around 54 percent of the survey respondents are in favor of Rahul Gandhi, while only 21 percent of respondents voted for Rahul Gandhi.

This is a piece of big news for Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party. When the grand old party is working hard on reviving the party, the survey gave a big hope that the party is on the right track.

Looking at the reasons for this, the BJP never had any big representation in Tamil Nadu. Though Congress was never in power in the state, it had always had an alliance with the DMK, of the two big parties in the state. This helped the Gandhi scion get a positive image among the people in Tamil Nadu.

Talking about the BJP and Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu has strong anti-Hinduism feelings due to the Dravidian movement. As the base of the Bharatiya Janata Party is Hinduism, it is very tough for the saffron party to foray into Tamil Nadu.
