Wayanad MP, former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has been touring in the poll-bound southern states Tamil Nadu and Kerala vigorously. Unlike other leaders, Rahul is meeting the communities in the states to know more about their problems.
On Wednesday Rahul Gandhi met people from the fishermen community to know more about their lifestyle and the struggles of their life.
To everyone’s surprise, Rahul Gandhi has suddenly jumped into the sea and enjoyed swimming for nearly ten minutes. He did this after the fisherman jumped into the water to catch some fish.
News Agency PTI quoted a Congress party leader without mentioning the name as saying: He(Rahul) ventured into the sea without informing anyone. We were shocked by this, but he was cool. He is a professional swimmer, he spent nearly 10 minutes in the water.
After swimming in the seawater, the Wayanad MP interacted with the fishermen and enjoyed fish curry with them.
While interacting with the fishermen, the Gandhi scion said he respects the fishermen community, and said in the election manifesto, his party would include the needs of the fishermen.
