Rajnikanth Is Facing Tollywood’s Heat

Back to back flops or say unsuccessful films in the form of Kabali, 2 Point O, Kaala and Petta have started to worry those distributors who involve with Superstar Rajinikanth’s movies in Telugu circuits. Because they are made to spend huge to acquire the rights, but the films are not even worth of such spending.

And now, the clash of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Mahesh’s Sarileru Neekevvaru on January 12th at the box office is proving fatal for Rajnikanth in the Telugu circuits as he has locked January 14th as the date for his “Darbar” release. If Venky Mama joins the race on January 11th, Rajini will be facing the heat as he will not be able to get theatres for his movie.

When three big Telugu flicks are around, surely even Telugu producers who own bunches of theatres in hand will hesitate to give screens for Tamil dubbed movie. And if Rajini misses the Jan 14th date, then the film should be a blockbuster in Tamil circuits as otherwise Telugu distributors will not shell out hefty pay packets for the dubbed version after knowing the result.

Also, some other small films like Kalyan Ram’s Entha Manchivadavu Ra and others are likely to join Sankrankthi race if there is any space, but surely that space will not be able to accommodate a Rajinikanth movie. Let’s see what happens.
