Reel Talk: Vijay Gets Lucky This Time

“Sye Raa” has almost ended its run in the theaters. In many centers, exhibitors are keeping the film due to the non-availability of big films to screen.

The recent small films that hit the screens are not attracting the audiences to the theaters. There is a huge dearth of big movies to feed the theaters.

This has become an advantage for Tamil superstar Vijay who has been trying to snatch Telugu dubbing market.

Barring “Adirindi”, his past attempts to have a massive release in Telugu states didn’t become a reality. This time, however, he will secure the maximum number of the theaters in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

His latest film “Whistle” (“Bigil” in Tamil) is hitting the screens on October 25th on the eve of Deepavali.

In Nizam alone, “Whistle” is having 200 plus theaters. This is the biggest ever release for a Vijay starred dubbed movie. The film is also sold for a good price in all areas in Telugus states.

Directed by Atlee, “Whistle” has Vijay playing father and son. Nayanthara is the heroine.
